Tonight's Sunset

A paying members bonus post

Most of you won’t see this until Wednesday but I thought I’d give you 1st sight of the sunset from the Crags tonight and a nearly wonderful aftermath.

I rushed to get further up the hill than I’d planned for and only just managed to get in position for this shot as the sun dropped below the horizon. I would never have chosen those trees in the way, but I’m so glad I didn’t have time to get further along because I love the feeling of the castle being isolated, rather than its inner city reality.
